Skip Ruckle has led his team of dedicated and motivated employees, top-notch subcontractors, local vendors, and suppliers to build a solid reputation as a trusted home builder for almost 20 years in the Asheville area. Skip is highly detail-oriented and matches his ability to be efficient with a commitment to open communication, transparency, and meeting customers’ expectations. Ruckle Construction takes earning your trust very seriously. We strive to carry on our tradition of quality, honesty, and integrity with every project we build, and our work speaks for itself.

With over 25+ years of experience, owner and founder Skip Ruckle began working for a developer in 1994. Six years later, in 2000, he worked for a custom home builder. Through his experiences, he was inspired to transform how custom homes were being built in Asheville and the surrounding regions, leading him to establish Ruckle Construction & Realty Inc. in 2005. Fast forward to the present day, and Skip, as well as his wife and business partner, Brigitte Ruckle, lead a quality team devoted to bringing clients customized homes in a timely manner. Both Skip and Brigitte are North Carolina licensed general contractors and licensed real estate brokers. Ruckle Construction & Realty is also a design and build firm, and its real estate services are maintained through its association with Coldwell Banker King. In addition, the firm is a licensed septic installer and can grade, install wells and septic systems, and build customized homes.

At Ruckle Construction & Realty Inc., we understand that building a custom home is an important life event. That is why we consciously try to establish a close relationship with our clients. We get to know our clients on a first-name basis and serve all clients, ranging from first-time home buyers to families or retirees. The areas that we service are in the Western North Carolina area, which includes Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Yancey counties, and we build homes that range up to $1 million+. We aim to hear our client’s needs and concerns and lead them through designing and building their homes. We are dedicated to working within your budget and plan to continue developing and fostering relationships that are equally beneficial for our company and clients.
